Content Guidelines

When contributing towards the wiki, please keep these guidelines in mind.

The wiki has a focus on quality, not quantity. A good page should answer questions a mod author may need answers to.
Leave pages in a better state than you found them in.
Wikilinks should be used when possible to refer people to other ressources that they need.
The wiki is focused on modmaking, anything else should go to the Starsector wiki.
Guides for integration with other mods should go in to the Modded API category. Exceptions are made for more universal integrations.
Pages should be approachable for new and experienced mod authors.

AI Guidelines

When it comes to creating vast resources like those on a wiki, it may be tempting to use AI for it.
To keep the quality of the wiki up, however, there are some guidelines on how you should make use of it if you decide to use it.
AI should not be used for the following:

AI should not be used to create full pages.
AI should not be used to research a topic you dont know anything about.

Instead, we encourage using it for the following:

Correcting sentence structure, grammar or finding errors in your text.
Using it to research small gaps in your knowledge, but still double checking the answers.
Analyzing what improvements you could make to your page.
